Counselling with Sasha
Specialist experience
As well as supporting clients with their depression and anxiety, I also have specific experience in a range of areas.
Domestic abuse
For the past 5 years, I have been working with a Kent-based charity (DAVSS) to support victims of Domestic Abuse. The work involves supporting clients who are in abusive relationships or have left the relationship. We look at risks, warning signs, breaking the cycle, impact on children and on building the clients self-esteem and confidence, with the aim to look at how to move forwards.
Sexual abuse
I have worked extensively with victims of sexual abuse and also parents of sexually abused children, through my work with a London-based charity (MOSAC). The work involves working through feelings of shame, guilt, fear, anger and towards feeling more confident and positive about life.
Neurodiversity
More and more clients with depression and anxiety have also suspected that they may be neurodiverse and this is a particular area of interest for me. I support neurodiverse clients through a possible recent diagnosis and help them understand how their unique way of seeing the world can help them thrive in society.
